European Land Art Festival & Stone Stacking Championships 2022
The first week-long event, now under its new name 'European Land Art Festival & Stone Stacking Championships', was held 4-10 July 2022, in Dunbar, Scotland.
2022 saw a significant change in the event, evolving from the original two-day stacking competition to include a week's worth of activities, including forest land art, sand drawing, stone stacking, arch and mosaic workshops.
Many of our American artist friends travelled a long way to be here, so it felt great to finally host them and return the hospitality they show to many of the UK artists who usually travel to Llano Earth Art Fest in Texas each year to create land art and compete in the World Rock Stacking Championships.

The week went better than expected and we were blessed with some grand weather. Over 30 degrees on the final day was a bit tough, especially for the organisers but the competitors and public seemed to have a great time.
